Let’s start again from Yan’an! -Carry forward the Yan’an spirit and forge ahead into the great era- online theme promotion launched

On October 20, a significant online theme campaign titled “Promoting the Yan’an Spirit, Advancing in a Great Era” was launched in Yan’an, Shaanxi Province. The event aims to deeply focus on the inheritance and promotion of the Yan’an spirit in the new era while showcasing the new changes in the high-quality development of the region.

During the launch ceremony, notable figures such as Niu Yibing, Deputy Director of the Cyberspace Administration of China, Sun Daguang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Publicity Department, and Yao Huijie, Secretary of the Yan’an Municipal Party Committee, delivered speeches. The ceremony also saw the participation of esteemed guests including Geng Yan, Vice President of the China Yan’an Spirit Research Association and Vice Dean of Tsinghua University’s National Strategy Institute, and Liang Hongxian, President of the Yan’an Spirit Research Association in Shaanxi.

At the event, several speakers shared heartfelt stories through dramatic presentations, exploring themes such as “The Everlasting Call of Our Spiritual Homeland,” “Ecological Answers Beneath the Holy Blue Sky,” “The Beauty of Profitable Ventures,” and “The Vibrant Background of a Resilient Collective Effort.” Notable figures included Ke Xiaohai, an outstanding Communist Party member, representatives from the Yan’an Baota Fire Rescue Station, Lu Shuguo from the Yan’an Fruit Industry Center, and Liu Meiyan, a guide at the Yan’an Literary Memorial Museum.

Geng Yan, along with Lu Shengmei, a recipient of the national honor title of “People’s Healthcare Worker” and former Deputy Chief of the People’s Hospital in Jixian, shared insights on four media-themed activities: “The Path of Thought,” “The Road to Dreams,” “The Road of Innovation,” and “The Road to Light.”

The campaign, co-hosted by the Cyberspace Administration of China, the Shaanxi Provincial Publicity Department, the Yan’an Municipal Party Committee, and several other organizations, aims to engage nearly 1,000 participants, including officials from central and provincial departments, major news agencies, representatives from online platforms, media journalists, and local students and civil servants.

This event underscores the collective effort to propagate the Yan’an spirit and its relevance within modern societal contexts.
