Zhejiang Provincial Airport will implement the winter flight season flight plan and add multiple new routes

Starting October 27, the civil aviation sector will implement the flight schedule for the 2024 winter travel season. In this new season, airports across Zhejiang province will introduce and increase multiple flight routes, with the total number of planned weekly flights reaching 13,000, averaging nearly 1,900 flights per day. Notably, Hangzhou Airport will see around 900 flights daily.

In terms of international routes, Hangzhou Airport will launch a new flight to Tashkent, Uzbekistan. This route, operated by Uzbekistan Airways, is set to open on November 17, with flights scheduled every Sunday. Flight HY503 will depart Tashkent at 12:40 local time and arrive in Hangzhou at 22:00. The return flight, HY504, will leave Hangzhou at 23:30 and land in Tashkent at 04:10 the next day. With this addition, Hangzhou Airport will have a total of 35 international and regional destinations, covering 20 countries across four continents. The weekly international passenger flights will exceed 600, representing a 4% year-on-year increase, placing it sixth nationally.

Ningbo Airport plans to add a direct flight to Phuket in December, while Wenzhou Airport will increase the frequency of flights to Southeast Asian destinations like Seoul and Bangkok. Zhoushan Airport is set to welcome its first international passenger route to Hong Kong on November 7, with three flights per week.

Domestically, Hangzhou Airport will continue to boost the frequency of flights to major Chinese cities, including more than 30 daily departures to cities such as Beijing, Guangzhou, Chengdu, and Shenzhen, averaging two flights per hour. In line with winter travel demand, the airport will also launch flights focused on “warm winter” and “snow tourism,” significantly increasing flights to southern destinations like Sanya and Jieyang, as well as to northeastern cities like Changchun and Mudanjiang, each seeing over a 20% year-on-year increase in flight volumes.

Ningbo Airport will introduce flights to Kashgar and Dehong, while also enhancing the frequency of routes to Sanya, Guiyang, and Guangzhou, with over eight flights per week. Wenzhou Airport will add new routes to Aksu and Ganzhou and increase the frequency of flights to cities including Shenyang, Foshan, Baotou, Harbin, Yantai, and Changchun, with weekly flights to Zhengzhou increasing by 20 compared to the same period last year.

Additionally, Zhoushan Airport will resume its route to Lianyungang, Quzhou Airport will add new routes to Harbin, Jining, Huizhou, and Lianyungang, while Taizhou Airport will introduce new routes to Lanzhou, Jingzhou, Enshi, and Yibin. The airport is set to welcome three new airlines: Hainan Airlines, Western Airlines, and Tianjin Airlines, which will increase flights to Kunming to two daily. Yiwu Airport will resume services to Haikou and Foshan, enhancing its routes to Beijing, Shenzhen, and Chongqing.
