Buffalo Bills’ Von Miller suspended four games for personal conduct violation
Buffalo Bills linebacker Von Miller is facing a four-game suspension without pay after violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy, a decision that was announced on Tuesday. This suspension means Miller will be unavailable until after the Bills’ Week 8 game against the Seattle Seahawks on October 28, missing key matchups against the Houston Texans, New York Jets, and Tennessee Titans during this period.
The suspension relates to a domestic violence incident from last November, when Miller voluntarily turned himself in to police in the Dallas suburbs following an arrest warrant connected to an altercation involving his pregnant girlfriend. Although he was sought on charges of third-degree felony assault, no formal charges were ever filed, and Miller has consistently asserted his innocence.
Reports indicate that officers were called to respond to a “major disturbance” at the couple’s home on November 29, where an argument between Miller and his girlfriend allegedly escalated into an assault. Despite the ongoing investigation, Miller continued to play throughout the process.
Miller is a highly accomplished athlete, boasting eight Pro Bowl selections, seven All-Pro honors (including three first-team nods), and two Super Bowl championships. This season, he has recorded three sacks in the first four games while assuming a role off the bench.
