China-Singapore True Detective- Can diabetics drink milk-

During a recent interview, experts discussed the nutritional benefits of pure milk, particularly for individuals with diabetes. Unlike sucrose, milk naturally contains lactose and is considered a low-glycemic index (GI) food, making it a viable option for diabetic patients.

Current research suggests that the calcium, protein, and certain fatty acids found in milk may help prevent type 2 diabetes. This is largely attributed to the role of calcium in insulin release; inadequate calcium intake can disrupt the balance of calcium ions within the pancreas’s beta cells, ultimately affecting normal insulin secretion. Furthermore, whey protein has been identified as a beneficial component that may enhance insulin sensitivity.

These findings indicate that including pure milk in the diet could not only be safe but potentially advantageous for those managing diabetes.
