Firstrade is the chief sponsor of the American Cancer Society’s Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer Awareness Walk, with tens of thousands of people participating

On Sunday, October 20, the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk took place at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, New York. With perfect autumn weather and a vibrant atmosphere, the event attracted thousands of participants and numerous teams, creating a truly uplifting and inspiring scene.

As a leading commission-free online brokerage in the U.S., Firstrade proudly served as the chief sponsor for this meaningful event. Under the leadership of President John Liu, Firstrade organized a team of over 30 employees to participate, fostering a spirit of joy in supporting a great cause together.

At the event, Firstrade set up an eye-catching information booth, where staff engaged with attendees enthusiastically and handed out a variety of specially designed giveaways, including T-shirts, tennis caps, and insulated water bottles, all of which were well-received by participants.

This year, the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk has been organized in over 150 communities nationwide, with Corona Park serving as the venue for the Queens event. For over thirty years, the American Cancer Society’s initiative has united communities, corporations, and individuals across the country, evolving into the largest and most impactful cancer-fighting movement in the U.S. It has significantly raised awareness about cancer prevention and strengthened the resolve to fight against it. The event is crucial for raising funds for breast cancer research and promoting health equity through fundamental programs and services.

Based in Queens, Firstrade firmly believes in the principle of “giving back to the community.” Over the years, the company has actively participated in local charitable activities, particularly in support of cancer-related causes. This year, as the chief sponsor of the Queens breast cancer walk, Firstrade has reaffirmed its long-term commitment to supporting the American Cancer Society’s mission in the battle against breast cancer in the community.

President John Liu stated, “At Firstrade, we believe that corporations should not only focus on business development but also actively contribute to society. Supporting the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk is an essential opportunity for us to provide meaningful assistance to families affected by breast cancer and to raise public awareness. We hope that everyone enjoys this healthy walk and finds joy in working together with the community.”

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, throughout October, Firstrade will donate $10 to the American Cancer Society for every new brokerage account opened. Each new account contributes to the fight against cancer.
