This Sunday, the Making Strides of Queens event, presented by Firstrade Securities, will take place at Cocoran Park, as organized by the American Cancer Society. The event runs from 8 AM to noon on October 20, and everyone is warmly invited to join in the celebration with families from Queens to raise cancer awareness and show support through action.
With the pleasant autumn weather, it’s a perfect day for a walk. Participants can enjoy a leisurely 2.1-mile walk at their own pace, culminating back at the event venue, where a variety of activities await to celebrate the progress made in cancer prevention over the years.

Funds raised during this event will go toward cancer research, compiling health resources, and support programs for those in need.
