The 4th Cross-Strait and Hong Kong and Macao Automobile Venue Cross-Country Challenge decided on 61 awards
The 2024 Straits Sports Carnival concluded in Zhangzhou on October 20, with the fourth Cross-Strait and Hong Kong-Macau Regional Off-Road Challenge taking center stage over two days. The event awarded a total of 61 prizes across four categories: Unlimited Modification Group, Production Group, Motorcycle Gold Group, and Motorcycle Silver Group.
The racecourse stretched for 1 kilometer and featured a variety of obstacles, including ramps, camel humps, wavy sections, and S-bends. Drivers showcased their exceptional skills as they navigated the complex and ever-changing track. Notably, this year saw a record participation of 17 drivers from Macau, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, reflecting the event’s growing influence. The aim of the competition is to create a platform for off-road racing, facilitating sports exchange across the Straits and promoting collaborative development.
The event attracted over 150 cars from more than 40 teams across the Straits to the scenic Shumei Lake Park in Longwen District, Zhangzhou, transforming it into a real-life “Fast and Furious” scene. Eye-catching race cars with vibrant designs drew large crowds, merging the roar of engines with cheers from enthusiastic spectators. Attendees expressed their excitement, noting that this was a rare opportunity to witness such thrilling races up close.
This competition is part of the 2024 Straits Sports Carnival, organized by the Fujian Provincial Sports Administration and the Zhangzhou Municipal Government, with support from the Zhangzhou Sports Bureau, Longwen District Government, and various local organizations, including the Zhangzhou Automobile and Motorcycle Sports Association and Racing Vision Technology Development Co., Ltd.
