The Jiangxi Procuratorate prosecuted Fan Jixiang in accordance with the law for allegedly accepting bribes and using his influence to accept bribes.

On October 14, the Supreme People’s Procuratorate of China announced via their Weibo account that Fan Jixiang, the former deputy party secretary and chairman of China Power Construction Group Co., Ltd., has been charged with bribery and bribery through influence. This case has been designated for jurisdiction by the Nanchang Municipal People’s Procuratorate and has been officially filed with the Nanchang Intermediate People’s Court. The investigation is ongoing.

During the prosecution phase, the authorities informed the defendant, Fan Jixiang, of his legal rights and conducted an official interrogation, also taking into account the defense’s opinions. The Nanchang Municipal People’s Procuratorate has alleged that Fan Jixiang exploited his positions as the director of the China Water Resources and Electric Power No. 7 Engineering Bureau and the deputy general manager of the China Water Resources and Electric Power Construction Group to benefit others, receiving particularly large sums of money illegally. As a former state employee, he is accused of using his former authority to create advantageous conditions and leveraging the actions of other state employees to obtain improper benefits, for which he received substantial bribes. As a result, he faces criminal charges for bribery and bribery through influence.
